LCI Sponsored Registration Fee Waiver for students to attend ILCC2018
Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Glenn H. Brown Liquid Crystal Institute (LCI) and the 26th International Liquid Crystal Conference held at Kent State University in 2016, we are delighted to announce the offer of full payment of the registration fee for students to attend the ILCC 2018. To be eligible, the students must be:
- a student member of the International Liquid Crystal Society, and
- the presenting author of an accepted paper.
The support will be at the early bird rate for ILCS student members. We anticipate to be able to support up to 70 students with priority for those from underprivileged and/or remote countries. Students wishing to apply should follow instructions on the conference website. We will advise all applicants of the decision on their application at the earliest opportunity.
As of September 1st, 2018, the LCI will be renamed to the Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute, driven by the presidential initiative to promote research excellence on campus. We are enthusiastic about the expansion of the scope of research, and the continued growth of the field through generations to come. The Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute will continue to be committed to the advancement of liquid crystal research.
